1925-2025. Baxi SpA 100-year anniversary

Baxi SpA is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year – and what a journey it’s been! From its humble beginnings in 1925 as an enamel factory crafting dishes, electric water heaters, bathtubs, and steel heating bodies, Baxi has evolved into a real trailblazer in environmental comfort. This milestone is a tribute to the thousands of passionate people who have helped shape the company into a major local reference point.

Back in the late ‘70s, Baxi took a big leap by focusing on the heating sector, pioneering domestic gas appliances like wall-mounted boilers. The ‘80s not only strengthened its presence in Italy but also kicked off its international adventure. In 1999, the company joined the English Baxi Group Ltd – a leader in Europe’s heating market – and in 2009, it played a key role in creating the BDR Thermea Group together with De Dietrich and Remeha. Today, the centenary is celebrated with more enthusiasm and dedication than ever.

BAXI SpA is the Italian manufacturing plant located in Bassano del Grappa (VI). To mark this special occasion, Baxi is rolling out a line of boilers named “Luna Century” and planning a host of initiatives throughout the year, from employee parties to community events and loads of engaging activities.

Looking ahead, 2025 is set to be a real milestone. With 850 employees, a 2024 turnover of 380 million euros, and a cutting-edge facility in Bassano del Grappa spanning 100,000 m² (complete with 15 production lines capable of churning out up to 3,200 boilers a day), Baxi remains firmly rooted in Italy while making waves in over 50 countries.

Always an innovator, Baxi is also a pioneer in hybrid systems, offering energy-efficient solutions that guarantee maximum comfort and savings. Their impressive portfolio includes heat pumps, hybrid systems, boilers, and air conditioners for both homes and businesses. Among their groundbreaking moves is developing the first certified domestic boiler premixed with pure hydrogen—an important step toward a more sustainable future. Plus, their new line of boilers, designed to run on a mix of methane and 20% hydrogen, slashes CO₂ emissions by up to 22% compared to standard models.

Alberto Favero, President of Baxi, sums it up perfectly: “We have faced historical challenges, industrial revolutions, and technological evolutions, always maintaining our role as pioneers in the sector. Today, Baxi is a solid reality: if we have reached this milestone, it is because we have been able to question ourselves, embrace change with courage, determination, and innovation. This is the spirit we want to pass on to future generations.”

Here’s to the first 100 years – and to many more successes ahead for Baxi SpA!
